The Nixon Mojo!!!

The last few days have been just as good as last week. We have seen and heard of a lot of fish in the upper 20’s to low 30’s inch range. A lot of fish seem to be everywhere. We are getting reports from Joppa, Plum Island Sound, Plum Island Oceanfront, Sandy Point, and from the mouth of the Merrimac River. But I think the Nixon’s have the local mojo. This family knows how to fish! Dad Mike has passed on some good knowledge of Joppa, Plum Island River, Plum Island Sound, and Parker River to his sons Corey and Cody. Cody seems to be especially on fire as of late. I finally got him to send me some pictures of his catches. He sent me these two today. He thinks it is the new Surfland hat that helped, but I think it is just the Nixon Mojo in action! Thanks Cody………..now Mom can share all she wants on FB! 🙂

Here also are some shop pictures and another boat picture:

On June 18th, Amy Tousisnant and Tommy Rekar from Manchester, NH came into the shop with their catches of 11-12 and 9-9 pound fish. They were fishing clams during low tide in the Merrimac River.

Yesterday we had Sam Putnam from Arlington, MA come into the shop and buy some mackerel to take down to the river to fish the outgoing tide. He wasn’t gone more than an hour or so when he was walking in the door with this 17-4 pounder that he caught at dead low tide which was about 3:30. Right in the heat of the day!

Lee St Louis sent us an email with this note attached:

Cam St Louis 14, and Surfland regular of West Newbury, 30″ Fathers Day catch/release. Out fished, and outsized dad on Fathers Day

The weather is fine……………come have a good time!
