Bill Mitchell of Ipswich weighed in a beauty for On The Water’s Striper Cup Tournament. The 48″ striper weighed 45 pounds, 11 ounces. This was caught in a boat off Plum Island using pogies that Bill snagged earlier in the morning. There are lots of pogies (aka bunker, menhaden) out along the oceanfront the past few mornings with lots of bass and even a few tuna chasing them. But, WHERE’S THE BLUEFISH?? It would be great to have some bluefish blitzes along the beaches!
