Monday’s weather sure put a damper on things the last few days. The ocean was churned up and a bit hard to navigate Tuesday. Some of the boys hit the beachfront in the wetsuits and said they were tossed around a lot and it was hard to keep your balance while fishing. But the boats were back out Wednesday and some mackerel have been again in the area. Before the weather on Monday the fishing around has been fantastic. From one end of the island to the other the bait has stayed fairly consistent. Since last Thursdays report we had a few weigh-ins in the shop and some sent to us on FB. Here are some pictures from this past weeks fishing:

The Suzio Family had a fun day on the water last Friday!

All 9 were caught & released on 7/17 in mid day on live macks, choppy day on water but loads of fun. Bob & Nik out of Hampton

On Sunday Jeremy Asaro sent up this picture and post:

My 14 year old son caught this yesterday at deer island with a live mac.
Shop weigh-ins over the last week include these:
On 7/21 Chris G. from Haverhill MA caught his 10 pounder on bait in the Merrimac River.
On 7/24 Tom Tetreault caught his 17-1 pounder on sea worms along the oceanfront.
And last but not least for today’s report…..
Just about 9am this morning, Bob Nardone came in from fishing the outgoing tide at the mouth of the Merrimac River when he caught this 11 1/2 pounder on clams. Wasn’t quite low tide when Bob caught his fish.
and to finish up the report, we just Cathal Wells from Westminster, MA come in with his catch this morning. A 12-4 pounder caught on clams! Congrats Cathal!!! Way to go!
