Well certainly cannot tell that it is the end of May….Brrrrrr. Not much in the way of fishermen today, and no report from this am’s tide, but this afternoon hasn’t disappointed the few fishermen that are out there fishing today. Tom Smith from Athol caught this 10-8 pounder on clams at the mouth of the Merrimac at low tide this afternoon. Tom said others were catching as well. Another fisherman came in to report that for lures white was the hot color. He came in and Brendan set him up with an Al Gag’s Whip It Fish with a white bucktail teaser at the front of it and back down he went.
