Sorry folks, been lax on posting this week. This weather hasn’t helped and it is only going to get worse this week. A bit depressing isn’t it? BUT…………….the fish are already wet so it doesn’t bother them, so put on a wetsuit, rain gear or a bathing suit and hit the beach. There are reports of a lot of small fish at the river mouth. Jerry did well there this week. Low tide is the time for the mouth of the river. The jetty boys are continuing to produce bigger fish off the rocks on mackerel and clams…but the rocks aren’t for everyone. Be careful out there.
And the stories this past few weeks have been nothing short of amazing. Tuna jumping off shore, whales, dolphins, big bass…………all chasing the massive schools of pogies that are up and down the coast. Would love some pictures from people to post! We did have Glen Hawkes come in yesterday with a 33 1/2 pound striper that he caught from the oceanfront from a boat using a pogie. This fish had a massive head and was very healthy looking. Bet it tasted good!
Also had another weigh in this week. A family that fishes together stays together!
Also a few people have sent us in some pictures this past week……………….

A fun catch this morning out on the rock jetty this morning (Sun 7/15) during low tide using “Holy Mackerel.” If wasn’t holy before? It is now.

And Mike Hosker, one of our very own had his nephews visiting from out of state and he took them fishing at the beach this past Thursday. Love to see the kids fishing!
