Madeline (Maddy) Pinciaro went fishing last night with the boys. Andy Kelly took Maddy and her brother Zach fishing with a drive-on permit down on the PRWR. They hit the beach before dark, which was also around the low tide mark. Before dark (about 6:30) they got one “keeper” sized striper. After dark is when the bite really started. In total they got about 8 or so fish, with 3-4 (12-15 lb. range) being legal sized fish. Zach said it was a pretty steady bite during the first few hours of the incoming tide. Bait of choice: Worms!
And today at about noon we had Mike Tompkins from Hudson NH come in with this 29″ fish that he caught a few hours before the top of the tide using a Murderous Richard (formerly known as The Deadly Dick). Mike was fishing the oceanfront along the northern part of the PRWR. So, here they come. The fall run is just starting, so hope to see you on Plum Island soon!
