This weekend we weighed in our first keeper of the season. Jeff Stebbins from Enfield NH was down Sunday and caught this 18-4 pounder using clams. Jeff was fishing the 2nd part of the outgoing tide in the mouth of the Merrimac River during the morning tide.
This weekend turned out to be a mixed bag of reports. The ocean was churned up a bit and some guys had some trouble with the wind. Sunday seemed to be the tougher day to fish. Today for Memorial Day, the guys did well along the oceanfront again on the small schoolies.
The boat guys are starting to report some mackerel, beautiful little tinker sized ones.
And, the flounder are also starting to show up.
