Hi everyone,
Well the fishing was pretty good the last few weeks of August, right up until Hermine rolled in last weekend and shut everything down for a few days. The beachfronts have finally cleaned up but I have yet to find much in the way of fish the past few days. Might take a little bit for the bigger fish to settle back into their usual haunts. Water temps are still quite warm so I don’t think we have seen any really migratory movements just yet, although any day now things are going to start moving. There is still a lot of bait around so i’m hoping for a strong fall run this year. We have some prime tides coming up the next few weeks, including the September full moon next week and the October full moon a couple weeks after that. Eels and plugs will be in my bag for the remainder of the season, remember full moons/bright nights = light colors and new moon/dark nights = dark colors! The beachfronts will be your best bet to intercept large migrating bass, keep moving and keep casting!
PLEASE PRACTICE CATCH & RELEASE!!
If your considering booking a guided surfcasting trip, i’ll be running trips until about the second week of October. So reserve you fall run trip now…..

(Oh and yes I know, no videos lately. Well we have been filming a ton and getting some great stuff but it’s going to have to wait a bit longer before I can release the movie teaser. Trust me it will be worth the wait…)
