Hi Everyone,
Well the 2016 season was the last season of Plum Island Surfcasting Guide Service…. I will not be continuing next year. I want to thank everyone who has joined me on guided trips over the past few years. I have had some amazing trips with folks and met some awesome people along the way. I had a great job opportunity come my way this fall, and I will not have the time or the flexibility to continue guiding next season. I will however be surfcasting as much as possible and will be still making videos next year. (Teaser for this years movie coming soon, I promise…..)
The past few weeks have been real hit or miss around the north shore for surfcasters, and I suspect the season is just about over now. I spent the last couple weeks a bit further south fishing Cape Ann. I got into some great fish around the during the last full moon of October, the biggest was around 30lbs and fell for a needlefish in big surf.
There are likely still a few little guys around and who knows, maybe a late season cow if your still willing to tough it out. But i’ve packed up my salt gear and i’ll be chasing trout till things ice over. See you at the shows this winter….
